Common Rainwater Problems - Solutions



Here you will find some solutions for common Rainwater Harvesting problems you may come across;

1. Cistern doesn’t refill after flushing

• Check power supply to pump (potential power failure)
• Pressure switch failure - reset pressure switch
• If a gravity fed system check float switches have not got stuck

    2. Pump keeps switching on without toilets being flushed

• Pressure drop in pipe work - check for leaks
• If a gravity fed system check float switch has not become stuck

    3. The system does not appear to be collecting water

• Check filter has not become blocked with debris and water is getting through
• System may be full and no more water can be stored
