Anua Silage Tanks

Anua Silage Tanks

Silage tanks are manufactured in the same sizes as cesspools, and are used for the storage of more toxic natural or chemical waste.
Silage tanks are manufactured using special resins designed to be resistant to aggressive silage effluent such as;
• Chemical toilets
• Breweries
• Crop runoff/leaching
A typical application for a silage tank would be for a touring caravan site where a collection vessel was required to hold the waste from chemical toilet cassettes.
Standard sizes for silage tanks range from 1,000 litres to 84,000 litres
The Anua range of Silage tanks provides a solution to wastewater and industrial process effluent storage in locations without mains drainage and where the discharge of treated effluent is not permissible due to unsuitable ground conditions.
Benefits;
• Made from Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP) which is a strong, light, chemically resistant and watertight material
• Available as a horizontal cylindrical tank or as a traditional spherical tank
• Easy to install
• Low cost installation and maintenance
• Fully sealed GRP unit that ensures no effluent discharge
• Lockable cover supplied as standard

Thornbury Hall - Klargester BG BioDisc

Thanks to Mohamed for the order of a Klargester BG BioDisc for Thornbury Hall Grade 11 listed building.

Please see below for information on Thornbury Hall;

The listed building survey of cheadle, lists Thornbury Hall as Grade II with an Elizabethan wing at 1650 and a Georgian mansion of at 1750, but an entry in the Visitation book for 1620 records Johannes Thornebury and family as residents of a hall.
During the 18th century we have no residents list, but in 1834 the hall was occupied by a Charles Fowler, he was a farmer.
In May 1853 a Mr Godfrey Johnson held it, a conveyance dated 26th March 1866, (The devisees in trust of the late Godfrey Johnson) sold Thornbury Hall, a capital dwelling house, coach houses, barns, stables, cowhouses, yards, gardens, plantations extending with land estimated in 66 acres or thereabouts to William Shepherd Allen esquire.
Wm Allen, in 1849 purchased an adjoining property Woodhead Hall, “with some acreage of lana.” In 1912 Thornbury Hall was still owned by the Allen family. Wm Shepherd Allen resided at Thornbury Hall until the death of his father, Wm Allen on 31st March 1871. Wm Shepherd Allen (member of Parliament for Newcastle under Lyme) then had the old Woodhead Hall demolished and the present hall erected. He took ocupation of the new hall in 1873 and his wife Elizabeth Penelope, invited her parents to reside at Thornbury Hall. Her father was John Candlish, member of Parliament for Sunderland 1866 – 74. Mr Candlish died on 17th March 1874 and his widow Elizabeth continued to live at Thornbury Hall.
By 1895, WM Shepherd Allen’s son Wm Allen took up residence at Thornbury Hall. Wm Allen was a member of Parliament for Newcastle under Lyme from 1892 – 1900 as his father had been from 1861 – 1886, Wm Allen also served on first Cheadle Parish Council in December 1894.
In 1912 Thornbury Hall was rented out to a member of the Wedgewood family.

In the early 1920′s the hall was occupied by a Mr H.C. Anstey, he was an engineer, he and his family remained at Thornbury Hall until the 2nd World War. During thr war, the hall was used for accomodation for Air Ministry personnel, serving at Woodhead Hall.
With the sale by the Allen family of the Woodhead estates Thornbury was also offered for sale with 7 acres of ground. In the past 30 years the hall has had several owners, one sepearted the hall from the Coach House. The then Archdeacon of Stoke-on-Trent was a resident at the hall from 1968 – 1975 and of recent times the hall was used as a residential home.The 1990′s sees another use for Thornbury Hall when in 1990 Mohammed and Parveen Siddique restored the Thornbury Hall house from near ruin, and converted it into what is now recognised as one of the finest restaurants specialising in Pakistani cuisine. The elegance of the house lends itself perfectly to the exotic eastern decor; historic artefacts, sparkling crystal chandeliers, and
pictures of the ancient Mogul Empire. The Thornbury Group was born.

Matrix CL Sewage Treatment Plant

MATRIX sewage treatment systems are designed to optimise process efficiency, minimise running and maintenance costs and to be as simple and cost effective as possible to install.
The MATRIX sewage treatment system is designed to achieve the minimum required effluent quality standard of 20mg/litre (BOD) : 30mg/litre (SS) : 20mg/litre Ammoniacal
The certified performance of the MATRIX system is that it produces an average final effluent quality of 11mg/litre (BOD) : 16mg/litre (SS) and 7mg/litre Ammoniacal.
This relates to an average efficiency ratio of 96.2%, better than most other manufacturers. As part of the test procedure the MATRIX system was proven to have one of the lowest operating costs.
All Matrix sewage treatment plants have a standard inlet invert depth, but in keeping with our commitment to customer satisfaction and to keep installation simple, we can manufacture matrix units to specifically meet site requirements. Integral pumped discharges can also be provided with all units, eliminating the need for additional tankage and installation costs.
All Matrix systems are complete with failure alarms as standard (as required by BSEN12566-3) and are not, as with some other companies in this industry which will usually set you back on average over £100.
The MATRIX treatment system is a three stage biological process contained within a single tank structure, based on the principles of a submerged bed reactor and designed in accordance with the requirements of BS6297. Careful configuration of the internal flowpath and the inclusion of non-mechanical recirculation systems ensures optimal process performance as demonstrated by the exceptional results obtained from the independent testing, providing complete peace of mind. There are NO electrical or mechanical components within the Matrix treatment plant thereby eliminating the need for any specialist servicing arrangements ensuring that any maintenance requirements on the MATRIX system are kept to an absolute minimum.

Septic Tank Emptying

At Septic Tank Supplies we offer an emptying service for both domestic and commercial applications right across the country.
We empty everything from septic tanks and sewage treatment plants right through to large scale cesspools and silage tanks.
Desludging a septic tank

Septic tank emptying is required on a regular basis for domestic and commercial premises to keep it running effectively and for legislative requirements. There can be an unpleasant odour or a septic tank smell originating from the area where the tank is located underground and from nearby drains.
If a septic tank is not emptied on a regular basis it can give rise to septic tank problems such as:
  • Effluent surfacing
  • Problems with effectively flushing the toilets
  • Pollution of nearby groundwater and the environment
Sewage treatment plants are also required to be emptied. Even though they treat the waste water, the sediment remains and builds up in the tank.
To avoid any septic tank problems occurring or issues with the drainage field, our sewage and wastewater treatment installer network are equipped to desludge and dispose of sewage waste efficiently as possible to meet legal and environmental regulations. They react quickly and cost effectively for your needs and provide the necessary environmental disposal documentation. We do not recommend disposal of your waste effluent through anyone other than an approved waste handler.
