The Ensign sewage treatment plants are tested and CE marked to BSEN12566-3: The Environment Agency & UK Trading Standards will only allow the installation of sewage plants 6PE-50PE that have been tested to BSEN12566-3.

Has most recently been tested and certified to A1:2009

The Ensign will achieve an effluent quality of 12mg/litre BOD, 19mg/litre Suspended Solids and 9mg/litre Ammonia,which is significantly better than the UK standard and should be acceptable to be discharged directly into a watercourse.

The Ensign sewage treatment plant is covered by the following product guarantees:

 The Ensign sewage treatment plants are now all fitted with compressor alarms as standard.

Normal inlet inverts are 500mm. Invert risers are available from 250mm to one metre as required.

The plant has low visual impact with unobtrusive lids.

In normal ground conditions the unit can be installed in peas shingle.

Yale Fuel Tank Alarm

The Yale tank alarm is a revolutionary anti-fuel theft device which will sound a 100dB audible alarm if the fuel tank is interfered with.

The alarm will sound if the cable is either cut or tampered with and an additional motion sensor will alert you if the lock is disturbed.

The Yale tank alarm consists of a robust lock body with a 60cm retracting cable, the device is suitable for protecting all types of fuel tank with compatible fill points.

Designed to replace an existing padlock the cable is long enough to stretch around both the 2” fill point and 4” inspection point on most tanks.

An additional benefit is that as the lock operates using a combination mechanism meaning that you can provide the details to your fuel delivery driver without the need to hand over keys.

Harlequin - 1,000 Litre Bunded Oil Tank

Harlequin bunded oil tank 1,000 litre capacity, suitable for both domestic and commercial installations.

Product Summary

All Harlequin oil tanks are manufactured using a premium grade of fuel resistant MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene) and are produced using state of the art rotational molding technology. Each tank is fully bunded and exceeds the requirements of the Oil Storage Regulations including a bund capacity greater than 110% of the inner tank volume.

Suitable for most grades of distillate fuels, including burning oil (kerosene), Diesel and Gas Oil. These tanks also conform to OFS T100and hold an ERA2 rating.

Tank Installation

All tanks should be installed on a firm flat surface supporting the entire base area of the tank, This base should extend 300mm on all sides.

Please note that the single skin oil tanks do not provide any form of secondary containment. Subsequently, in the event of spillage, a pollution incident will occur. Consideration therefore should be given to installing a bunded oil storage tank (tank within a tank) in order to significantly reduce the likelihood of environmental damage.

Single Skinned Oil Tanks

Modern oil storage tanks come in all shapes and sizes and can be made from plastic or steel. The size and type that your OFTEC Registered Technician recommends will depend on your individual requirements.

It is recommended that the chosen tank is manufactured to OFTEC Standards (OFS T100 for plastic or OFS T200 for steel)

A Single skinned tank should only be considered if the follwoing do not apply;

• Tank capacity in excess of 2500 litres
• Tank within 10m of controlled water
• Tank located where a spillage could run into an open drain or to a loose fitting manhole cover
• Tank within 50m of a borehole or spring
• Tank over hard ground or hard-surfaced fround that could enable spillage run-off to reach controlled water
• Tank located in a position where the vent pipe outlet is not visible from the fill point
• Tank supplying heating oil to building other than a single-family dwelling

About York Bird Of Prey Centre



The Centre opened in April 2009 and is home to over 50 birds and other assorted animals. We hold 2 flying displays and 1 tour of our Pets Corner every day. In addition there are opportunities to meet and handle the birds throughout the day.

The gift shop sells hot & cold drinks, confectionery and a variety of gifts. We have a picnic area beside the pond and a Cafe can be found within the grounds of Sutton Park.

The Centre prides itself on the level of audience participation in the displays - So be prepared to get involved. The majority of our birds are hand-reared, safe to handle and you will be fully supervised at all times.

We hold an up to date Zoo License and are registered as required under the performing animals act, and so can offer a wide range of Hawk Walks, Owl Experiences, and Falconry Courses all year round which may be purchased as a gift voucher for that special occasion.

We also cater for outside events such as Galas, Fetes, Corporate Events and Educational Visits to Schools.

Private flying displays either at Sutton Park or the location of your choice - indoors or out, are also available.
