Matrix Sewage Treatment Systems

Matrix CLF2 (12pe) treatment plants were chosen by the customer for a 10 plot residential development because they met all of the requirements of the site.

The primary concern was that all the inlet depths were different but C&L Fabrication Ltd are able to manufacture treatment plants to suit required inlet depths to the nearest 5mm, without any penalty on time availability. Of equal importance was the fact that Matrix treatment plants are FULLY certified to BSEN12566-3, including the structural test in groundwater conditions, which few, if any, other manufacturers hold.

Similarly, the customer felt that the ease of installation of the Matrix treatment plant plus the extremely economical ongoing running and maintenance costs would be a long term benefit.

Clenviro Ltd Installation

#

Holker Estates, owner of a large caravan park in Cumbria, awarded Clenviro Ltd the contract to design, manufacture and supply two Matrix sewage treatment systems to ultimately serve up to 1200 guests.
The systems had to be designed to achieve much lower than normal ammonia levels, to comply with EA permit requirements.

In awarding the contract to Clenviro Ltd, Holker Estates considered not only the capital cost of the systems but also the speed and cost efficiency of the installation in comparison to other systems and the minimal aesthetic impact of the final installation of the Matrix system.

The first system to serve approximately 750 guests has been supplied and installed by a local contractor, with the second system scheduled to be installed later in the year.

C & L Fabrication Matrix Sewage Treatment Plant

MATRIX sewage treatment systems are designed to optimise process efficiency, minimise running and maintenance costs and to be as simple and cost effective as possible to install.
The MATRIX sewage treatment system is designed to achieve the minimum required effluent quality standard of 20mg/litre (BOD) : 30mg/litre (SS) : 20mg/litre Ammoniacal
The certified performance of the MATRIX system is that it produces an average final effluent quality of 11mg/litre (BOD) : 16mg/litre (SS) and 7mg/litre Ammoniacal.
This relates to an average efficiency ratio of 96.2%, better than most other manufacturers. As part of the test procedure the MATRIX system was proven to have one of the lowest operating costs.
All Matrix sewage treatment plants have a standard inlet invert depth, but in keeping with our commitment to customer satisfaction and to keep installation simple, we can manufacture matrix units to specifically meet site requirements. Integral pumped discharges can also be provided with all units, eliminating the need for additional tankage and installation costs.
All Matrix systems are complete with failure alarms as standard (as required by BSEN12566-3) and are not, as with some other companies in this industry which will usually set you back on average over £100.
The MATRIX treatment system is a three stage biological process contained within a single tank structure, based on the principles of a submerged bed reactor and designed in accordance with the requirements of BS6297. Careful configuration of the internal flowpath and the inclusion of non-mechanical recirculation systems ensures optimal process performance as demonstrated by the exceptional results obtained from the independent testing, providing complete peace of mind. There are NO electrical or mechanical components within the Matrix treatment plant thereby eliminating the need for any specialist servicing arrangements ensuring that any maintenance requirements on the MATRIX system are kept to an absolute minimum.
Benfits Of The Matrix Sewage Treatment Plant
  • Free nationwide site surveys and technical proposal with no obligation.
  • Full technical back up and customer service support.
  • Nationwide network of service engineers.
  • Supply only or full supply and installation through certified installers.

Sewage Treatment Plants For Holiday Homes

At Septic Tank Supplies we understand the struggle many customer go through to find the best solution for their holiday homes & have options below;

Septic Tank;

Septic Tanks are great if just going to a soakaway - They will require next to no maintenance and will only need to be emptied every couple of years depending in usage and size.

Sewage Treatment Plants;

Sewage Treatment Plants will be required if discharging to a watercouse - Most sewage treatment plants will struggle with the limited and infrequent flow and wont produce a clean effluent which could then put you in hot water with the Environment Agency.

At Septic Tank Supplies we offer the Matrix sewage treatment plant which has been designed for this exact scenario. The Matrix sewage treatment plant has a return pump in the final chamber which re-circulates the waste water and continuously treats the effluent. This means the Matrix will work on a very small flow of waste water passing through the system and makes sure the effluent leaving the sewage treatment plant is very clean and not going to pollute the environment.

Clearwater & Matrix Sewage Treatment Plants

At Septic Tank Supplies we offer a range of sewage treatment plants to cater for all kinds of applications be it domestic/residential to large commercial sites.

Two of our most popular sewage treatment plants brands are Clearwater & Matrix

The Clearwater Sewage Treatment Plant
The Clearwater uses an aeration chamber rather than a rotating disc as in the BioDisc system, so no moving internal parts.
Package Sewage Treatment System - Cutaway Plan

Benefits:
  • High performance rating.
  • Can be discharged directly to a watercourse.
  • Free from mechanical or electrical components within the unit - very low maintenance and running costs.
  • Minimal visual impact on surroundings - low level cover with child safe locks.
  • Controlled ventilation.
  • Annual emptying.
Process:
Three distinct process stages take place within the single tank:
  • First, coarse solids are filtered and retained for gradual breakdown.
  • Then the resulting liquid is continuously distributed over a plastic suspended filter by an integral lift, powered by a remotely sited blower.
  • Finally, the solids are allowed to settle and, under normal domestic conditions, treated water of 20mg/l BOD, 30mg/l S.S., 20mg/l Ammonia can be achieved.

Matrix Sewage Treatment System

For any application, be it domestic, residential, commercial or industrial, where there is no access to a mains sewer by gravity or by pumping, the MATRIX sewage treatment plant provides an extremely safe, efficient, reliable and cost effective solution to sewage disposal.
The design of the MATRIX system takes into account all those aspects which we have found to be important to domestic and commercial customers alike and is fully tested and CE certified to BSEN12566-3, which is now a mandatory requirement, achieving industry leading test results in both process and structural efficiency. (see Standards and Certification.)
There are no mechanical components within the treatment plant itself thereby ensuring that maintenance is minimal, simple and safe.
Installation is quick, simple and cost effective.
Once installed there is little visual impact as the flat cover finishes flush with ground level and is rated for safe pedestrian and light machinery load and there is no loss of area use, unlike treatment plants which have semi domed fibreglass covers.
MATRIX treatment plants can be installed in trafficked areas with little additional cost. (C&L Fabrication must be consulted in every instance).
 Due to the flexibility of our manufacturing process, the MATRIX treatment plant can built to accommodate any site installation restrictions there may be, as long as we can maintain the process requirements.
