Conder New Shallow Range Of Septic Tanks - Millennium

Conder has this month announced the launch of its new range of septic tanks, the Millennium Low Profile Series.
Uniquely designed for a shallow dig, the new Millennium range offers a durable polyethylene structure and automatic outlet cut-off for filter cleaning.  The new Millennium range also offers the benefit of a pre-filter which prolongs the lifespan of the drainage field and increases TSS retention.
Speaking about the new product launch, John Carter, National Sales Manager at Conder Environment Solutions, said: "Conder's commitment to continually improve our products is demonstrated in the launch of the new Millennium range.  With this product we have very much listened to the industry and to the requirements of installers and engineers out in the field and as such have developed this product, which offers some of the most advanced technical qualities in the industry.  This is particularly the case with the built-in impingement pre-filters which are placed at the outlet point of the unit and prevents suspended solids from entering the external pipework and drainage field (soakaway), thus increasing the lifespan of the system.
"We're delighted with the industry's response to the product at such an early stage.  Already, we're receiving really positive feedback on how this product will reduce installation and maintenance costs and increase performance durability."
As well as offering low profile design, pre-filter impingement and automatic outlet cut-off, the new range of Millennium septic tanks also provides a range of enhanced features including lockable pedestrian access cover, a variable invert level and has been approved to CE and EN 12566-1 industry standards.
Already, Conder is seeing orders being placed for the product and is estimating a lift in sales of 50% on last year.
Conder prides itself on running the largest automated GRP tank manufacturing plant out of its north east base in Peterlee, County Durham.
Conder has been in the water and waste water treatment industry for over 40 years and as such chose to design and manufacture the new range on its own site.

At septic Tank Supplies we offer the full range of shallow Conder Tanks

Super Tricel Sewage Treatment Plant Sale

The Tricel sewage treatment plant system was adopted to fulfill a need to provide exceptional wastewater treatment on sites that are unsuitable for a standard septic tank. When BS Standards EN12566-3, was introduced only treatment systems that have received European Certification can be installed.
The waste is treated through a mechanical aeration process. The level of treatment achieved enables the effluent to be discharged into a watercourse subject to receiving the relevant consent to discharge from the local regulatory bodies such as the Environment Agency for England and Wales, Scottish Environment Agency for Scotland and the Northern Ireland Environment Agency for Northern Ireland.
Tricel was awarded the CE mark after successfully completing 9 months of rigorous testing by the certified laboratory PIA Gmbh Testing Institute for Wastewater Technology in Aachen, Germany.

The Tricel system only requires a granular backfill with its standard invert and as long as site conditions alow.
Benefits;
  • No internal moving parts
  • Life time guarantee on the internal cleaning process
  • Very low electrical consumption -  est £56 a year
  • EN12566-1 European Certified
  • Designed in accordance with BS6297:1983
  • Low Profile, requiring a smaller excavation (50% less excavation)
Average running cost only £5 Per Month

Klargester Washdown Silt Separator

The Environment Agency's PPG3 requires that discharge from pressure washers must discharge to a foul drainage systems. Where there is no foul drainage available, the effluent must be contained within a sealed drainage system or catch pit for disposal by a licensed waste contractor.
Silt build-up is the main problem with washdown facilities. The Conder CWS range of washdown and silt separators is used to remove the silt and will allow some separation of hydrocarbons.
Detergents that are used in wash down areas will break down and disperse the hydrocarbons, hindering the separation process. Therefore, it is important to remember that the main function of wash down separators is to remove silt.
Although it is recognised that single stage separators provide the most efficient separation, 2 and 3 chamber CWS silt separators are available on request.
Application areas:
  • Car wash facilities
  • Tool hire depots
  • Pressure washer facilities

Forecourt Separators

Forecourt separators are full retention separators specified to retain on site the maximum spillage likely to occur on a petrol filling station. They are required for both safety and environmental reasons and will treat spillages occurring during vehicle refueling and road tanker delivery. The size of the separator is increased in order to retain the possible loss of the contents of one compartment of a road tanker, which may be up to 7,600 litres.
Separator Standards and Types
A British (and European) standard (BS EN 858-1 and 858-2) for the design and use of prefabricated oil separators has been adopted. New prefabricated separators should comply with the standard.
Separator Classes
The standard refers to two ‘classes’ of separator, based on performance under standard test conditions.
Class I
Designed to achieve a concentration of less than 5mg/l of oil under standard test conditions, should be used when the separator is required to remove very small oil droplets.
Class II
Designed to achieve a concentration of less than 100mg/l oil under standard test conditions and are suitable for dealing with discharges where a lower quality requirement applies (for example where the effluent passes to foul sewer).
Both classes can be produced as full retention or bypass separators. The oil concentration limits of 5 mg/l and 100 mg/l are only applicable under standard test conditions. It should not be expected that separators will comply with these limits when operating under field conditions.
