Siting

Septic tanks and holding tanks should be located at least 7m away from any habitable part of a building & preferably down slope.

Sewage treatment plants can sometimes be allowed to be as close as 5m, but must be agreed with a building inspector.

There are adequate means of access for emptying & maintenance (emptying usually requires hard ground within a distance of 30m)

A drainage field or mound should be ideally located 10m from any watercourse or building

he Zoeller Maxi sewage lift pumping station is complete "job ready" product for use in areas where gravity flow is not available. It is used for various drainage applications, with the maxi system also used for the transfer of sewage or waste water, all specially designed for easy installation.
