The all new Conder ASP HDPE

The all new Conder ASP HDPE (High Density Polyurethane) Sewage Treatment Plant

HDPE or High Density Polyurethane seems to be coming ever more popular as a material used in the construction industry for underground tanks whether they are oil, sewage or water it is becoming the go to material, why?
High Density Polyurethane is a very robust and durable material it has a very high strength to density ratio and is normal a recycled product so there is no wonder Conder is using it in their new ASP HDPE range Sewage Treatment Plant.
So is it any good? Yes it is, the cleaver thing Conder has done is they have built on the success of the ASP range instead of producing a new model with their inherent teething problems, The New ASP is the same as the old model but using HDPE it also has a nice addition of the concealed blower housing inside the neck of the tank instead of having to have a external box.
The New ASP also has two riser options one a telescopic riser that goes from 50mm to 300mm and then a fixed 800mm riser also making the ASP HDPE more versatile for installation than the previous model also.

Klargester BioDisc 25 Person

Klargester BioDisc 25 Person
(This unit is EPP2 Certified and conforms to the EN12566-3)
The only treatment plant that utilises the biological contactor (RBC) technology to produce outstanding wastewater treatment results.
For domestic properties with no access to mains drainage, the Klargester BioDisc® gives you a reliable, efficient and Eco safe solution for your sewage disposal needs.
This unit is just the job for properties where discharge is to underground irrigation, or to a local watercourse where approved by the local Regulator, and where a septic system will not meet the standards required.
Certified to European Standard EN 12566 - Part 3 - Annexe B - Performance Tests
In 2005, the Klargester BioDisc® underwent 40 weeks of stringent testing to assess its treatment efficiency as part of Klargester's commitment to meet the new European Standard for small treatment plants. After delivering exceptionally high levels of pollution removal (95%) under varying loads and conditions, the Klargester BioDisc® was awarded its Performance Certificate.
The test report also highlighted the following benefits and advantages of the BioDisc:
•         The Klargester BioDisc® operates without noise or odour.
•         Maintenance requirements are low with good access.
•         No technical or mechanical faults.
•         Low power consumption at 1.3kw/d - approx 10-14 pence per day.
•         Low sludge build up and large storage capacity.
Unique Design

The Klargester BioDisc® is the only packaged sewage treatment plant using Rotating Biological Contactor technology for domestic applications. This process offers low cost and high performance benefits with low carbon emissions.

Assured Performance
Klargester BioDisc® is a very high performance sewage treatment plant that, in standard domestic homes, will produce wastewater qualities of better than 15mg/l BOD*, 25mg/l SS and 15mg/l ammonia.

*Wastewater from sewage treatment plants contains organic materials that are decomposed by microorganisms, which make use of oxygen in the process – the amount of oxygen consumed by these organisms in breaking down the waste is known as the ‘biochemical oxygen demand’ or BOD.
Low Running Costs

Klargester BioDisc® has the lowest operational and maintenance costs of any sewage treatment plant in its field. The single home unit needs a yearly de-sludge only, the motor rating is 50 watts and routine maintenance is minimal.
Low Lifetime Costs
Lowest running costs with the quality of build and strength of the equipment - mainly the drive motor that has a much longer service life than the pumps and compressors fitted to other units - all add up to a lower lifetime cost for the Klargester BioDisc®.
Process Stability
The Klargester BioDisc® is known for its treatment performance. This is further enhanced by Klargester’s Managed Flow System, which ensures great performance by smoothing peak flows and buffering biological loads over the working day.
Dispersal
Subject to relevant authority consent and site conditions, the plant discharge can be to a watercourse or to a drainage field.
Standard Invert Options
Three standard drain invert level alternatives are available from us to match the site topography and where applicable, minimise the invert depth. The Klargester BA, BA-X and BB BioDiscs are available with 450mm, 750mm and 1,250mm inverts
BA, BA-X and BB BioDisc’s can also be fitted with an integrated pump to move wastewater from point of treatment if site levels demand this.

Vortex

The acclaimed VORTEX™ sewage treatment plant is the most advanced sewage treatment system in the UK to date.
Vortex 4
Benefits of the VORTEX system:
  • Low cost high performance - up to 98.9% pollution reduction
  • 10 Year tank warranty
  • Small footprint and easy to install – no concreting required*
  • High performance, better quality components used
  • NITTO linear piston compressors mean almost silent operation and minimal electricity usage
  • Built in sampling chamber saving you £300
  • Odourless – complete aerobic digestion means no smelly settlement chamber
  • Unique debris screening action – wipes, sanitary towels etc prevented from causing serious problems
  • EN12566-3 & A1 2009 Certification (satisfies more stringent French requirements)
  • Environment Agency approved to discharge to a ditch or watercourse (subject to permit)
  • Treatment process can be increased or decreased depending on the population
  • Versatile inlet depths - Supplied with standard 150mm up to 900mm inlet invert
The Vortex sewage treatment plant can achieve one of the highest treated quality of effluent on the market to date;
BOD -9
Suspended Solids – 16
Ammonia – 0.4
Here’s how it works:
The ONLY electrical element is a small high quality NITTO motor compressor which uses very little electricity.
There are no pumps, motors or any moving parts within the unit.

Incoming sewage is filtered to avoid mixing non soluble waste such as sanitary towels, wipes etc. Filtered sewage is then aerated and a microbial 'soup' builds up that digests the pollutants and organic particles in the sewage.
These good microbes are continually topped up with the microbes that sink to the bottom of the final settlement tank, guaranteeing an invariant 'friendly bacteria' provision for the digestion procedure.
There is no need to add extra bacteria, as is often required with other types of sewage treatment plant.
Processed sewage then enters the final  settlement chamber where activated sludge bacteria settle down at the bottom. These good microbes are always returned to the digestion chamber to enhance the performance of the treatment system.
The bacterial incrustation that forms on the top of the effluent in the clarification chamber is also constantly sent back through a pipe to the digestion chamber – this is an innovation unique to the Vortex, since other activated sludge plants require the removal of this crust, by hand, at regular intervals.
Sludge Return (FSR KIT)
In all ASP sewage treatment plants, floating sludge accumulates at the top of the clarification chamber. This sludge must be periodically returned to the aeration chamber. If you dont want to manually open this valve on a monthly basis, then fit the Automatic FSR Kit as this makes the process automatic.
No other ASP sewage treatment plant has the ability to manage its own sludge

Sewage Treatment Plants

All sewage treatment plants supplied by Septic Tank Supplies are tested to EN-12566-3 2005

Sewage treatment plants are ideal if looking to discharge in to a watercourse or ditch.

Unlike a septic tank, a sewage treatment plant will treat the waste water (effluent) and then discharge a pure effluent from the outlet.
The main plus point of a sewage treatment plant is because they are constantly treating the sewage it removes all smell unlike an ordinary septic tank.

At Septic Tank Supplies we are able to offer the best the United Kingdom’s manufactures have to offer, from Klargester’s BioDiscMarsh Ensign, Conder ASP and the WPL Diamond to name but a few at trade prices.

Clearwater P6 Sewage Treatment Plant Offer

Was £2,160.00 reduced for a limited time to £1,920.00
The Clearwater P6 uses an aeration chamber rather than a rotating disc as in the Klargester BioDisc system, so no moving internal parts.
Benefits:
  • High performance rating.
  • Can be discharged directly to a watercourse.
  • Free from mechanical or electrical components within the unit - very low maintenance and running costs.
  • Minimal visual impact on surroundings - low level cover with child safe locks.
  • Controlled ventilation.
  • Annual emptying.
Process:
Three distinct process stages take place within the single tank:
  • First, coarse solids are filtered and retained for gradual breakdown.
  • Then the resulting liquid is continuously distributed over a plastic suspended filter by an integral lift, powered by a remotely sited blower.
  • Finally, the solids are allowed to settle and, under normal domestic conditions, treated water of 20mg/l BOD, 30mg/l S.S., 20mg/l Ammonia can be achieved.
