For those who are aware, the thought of dealing with insurers and loss adjusters on the technical ins and outs of a drainage system can be quite a daunting prospect.

Septic Tank Supplies works in partnership with UKDP, to offer a unique insurance claims management service to our customers. UKDP specialises in managing insurance claims for damaged drainage systems, saving property owners thousands of pounds.

Did You Know your Sewage System Could Be Covered By Your House Insurance?

Many property are not connected to the main sewer and the owners don't realise that the costs to replace or repair household drainage systems are often covered by their existing buildings insurance policy and that it is not necessary to have specific plumbing and drainage insurance in place.  This could save you thousands with the only cost being your insurance excess.

Registering and negotiating a claim with an insurer can be a daunting prospect and answering a question incorrectly could lead to invalidate your claim. The insurance company will often ask very technical questions and this is where we really come into our own and make sure we protect your claim.

What is typically covered?

Generally speaking, if your drainage system has been regularly emptied & maintained and has previously functioned without issue but suddenly appears to have failed, then it is likely that Septic Tank Supplies can help. The following types of damage to a drainage system are typically covered by buildings insurance policies:

·         Root damage to a soakaway

·         Root damage to connecting  pipework or tanks

·         Cracks or fractures in pipes and tanks affecting their structure

·         Collapsed or damaged baffle

·         Broken dip pipes or t-pipes on outlet

·         Tanks that have moved by ground pressure or flooding

·         Damage to tanks by vehicle movement

How Does it Work?

1.     Septic Tank Supplies arrange a survey of your sewage system. (if applicable) We will gather as much information as possible about your problem. We report as much information as possible to give your claim the best chance of success.

2.     We then write an insurance standard detailed report on your behalf and register the claim with your insurer.

3.     We will deal with your insurer at all stages of the claim to make sure the process is carried out smoothly and correctly.

4.     A representative of Septic Tank Supplies will usually then meet with a representative from your insurance company on site to discuss and verify your claim.

5.     Septic Tank Supplies will negotiate all aspects of the claim to make sure nothing is missed out.

6.     The settlement is then agreed and we will have one of  our approved installers carry out the works to British & environmental standard

How much does it cost?

If your claim is to be found valid, then the only cost to you is the excess in your insurance policy – usually between £50 - £150 & You only pay this if you win!

How long does the process take?

Usually a claim will take between 6 – 8 weeks from the initial call out to the claim being paid. Often we will be able to speed up this process by keeping in regular contact with your insurer.

The Conder HDPE ASP 6 Sewage Treatment System is manufactured in High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) material. The plant showcases all the main features of the highly successful Conder ASP GRP sewage plant, plus additional features and benefits. 

Designed and tested in accordance with BSEN12566-3:2005 and with the British Water Code of Practice for Flow and Loads, the Clereflo HDPE ASP range is suitable for residential and commercial projects where mains drainage is not available.
